The total eclipse on August 21st this year (1st time in USA since 1979) must be already having an affect (effect?) on me. My work lately is trending more atmospheric, peaceful pieces instead of the aggressive, bold coLorfields of the past few years. This one began (as many do) as an acrylic base under-painting (below). Apparently, it was supposed to become a landscape, but today i had a different idea. The central object of this piece is almost perfectly centered (normally, i abhor symmetrical anything). The moon is shining through a foggy or cloudy sky.
